The Receptionist is responsible for the following duties, which include but are not limited to:

  • Must be professional in all aspects, be compassionate and friendly, honest and dependable;
  • Self starter who does not need a lot of day to day supervision;
  • Is on time every day;

The ideal person will be responsible for talking to clients and health care providers, file organization, filing, sending letters, scheduling depositions, hearings and meetings and assisting lawyers and paralegals with cases. At least 3-5 years of Legal Assistant experience is required.

The Legal Assistant is responsible for the following duties, which include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to work in a faced paced environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction from attorneys, paralegals and/or case managers;
  • Must have strong multi-tasking skills;
  • A general knowledge of the legal process;
  • Excellent phone skills;

  • CASE MANAGER

Our award winning, friendly offices are now hiring an EXPERIENCED personal injury case manager for our Jacksonville office. We desire to add an articulate professional to our family / team. This is an exciting career opportunity with our fast growing, community oriented law firm.

Our office is hiring a case manager to assist our clients with pre-suit personal injury claims. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling claims from inception to settlement. The position entails extensive contact with clients, insurance adjusters and medical providers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with highly skilled and passionate lawyers while:

  • Opening new files.
  • Gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
  • Fully investigating each case with a team of professionals.
  • Maintain contact with clients on regular basis.
  • Verify insurance coverage and maintain contact with insurance company.
  • Assist clients with medical care management.
  • Explain procedures or forms to clients.
  • Prepare documents and correspondence such as demand letters, billing inquiries, etc.
  • Draft settlement demand packages.
  • Relay settlement negotiation from attorney to clients and adjusters utilizing demands/offers in Trial Works.
  • Collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of income.
  • Read and interpret medical records and reports.
  • Organize and maintain case files.
  • Organize tangible damages utilizing special damages in Trial Works or similar software.
  • Diary files using to-do’s in Trial Works so as to work each file regularly.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must to be able to prioritize work and work under pressure.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software. Knowledge of Trial Works is helpful.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and traumatically induced conditions is helpful.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage types and policies is helpful.
  • Prior experience as bodily injury insurance adjuster highly preferred.
