After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Jessie pursued her passions by attending the University of Miami school of Law earning her Juris Doctorate and an LL.M. in Taxation and graduating cum laude. During law school, Jessie worked as a law clerk for the Internal Revenue Service, and a couple local firms prior to joining Phillips & Hunt.

Jessie focuses her practice area on family law, estate planning, estate and trust administration, probate and guardianship. She has extraordinary experience drafting estate plans including, trusts, wills, advanced directives such as durable power of attorneys, living wills, and designation of health care surrogate documents. Additionally, she helps guide clients through the probate administration process.

Jessie also handles family law clients for the firm. She helps clients navigate both complex and uncontested divorces, both with and without minor children, paternity cases, modifications, contempt issues, and with both pre and post marital agreements. Her extensive knowledge and vast experience allows her to assist clients with navigating financial matters within family law proceedings. Such matters include, but are not limited to, understanding financial components within businesses, such as subchapter S corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, retirement accounts, investment accounts, and other types of deferred compensation.

Jessie has handled a wide variety of experience and is eager to help counsel and guide families through all their legal needs.
