State of Florida v. Siddie Friar and other members of the JAX19 (2015)

The JAX19 was a group made up of all ages and races, who were arrested after standing with signs on a Jacksovnille bridge, demonstrating against racial injustice. Eighteen of the Jax 19 were arrested and charged with obstructing traffic while the 19th protester, Siddie Friar, was charged with battery on a police officer for allegedly punching an officer in the face during the protests.

We handled several cases, including Ms. Friar’s. All charges of all of our clients were with withheld adjudication. Ms. Friar discusses it here:
