The Armor of Light won an Emmy for the Best Social Issue Documentary in 2017. The compelling movie features several stories, including our own John Phillips and his family. It discusses his role after the death of Jordan Davis, a Jacksonville, Florida teenager killed by Michael Dunn after an altercation over loud music. Phillips represented the Davis family. He assisted with the gathering of materials for the film, worked with the crew and ultimately was featured in it.
