Honoring Dr. King & Celebrating Community at the MLK Parade
Yesterday, our team was proud to participate in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade in downtown Jacksonville — a meaningful day rooted in service, unity, and community.
It was a beautiful (and chilly!) morning, but the energy along the parade route kept everyone smiling. Families lined the streets, music filled the air, and the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy was felt throughout the city. We loved being part of a celebration that brings Jacksonville together year after year.
Johnnie the River Monster made plenty of new friends along the way, posing for Polaroids with parade-goers of all ages and spreading smiles throughout the crowd. From handing out swag to capturing candid moments on instant film, it was a simple but special way to connect with the community we serve every day.
Events like the MLK Parade remind us why community involvement matters. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our neighbors, celebrate Dr. King’s enduring message, and continue showing up for Jacksonville — not just today, but all year long.
