The Rainbow Awards JAX is formally known as the LGBT Jacksonville Community Awards began in April 2011. The Rainbow Awards JAX was founding by David Vandygriff a community activist and business owner. He felt the LGBTQIA Community needed a way to honor local businesses, individuals, organizations, charities & groups to help bring a POSITIVE awareness of the role LGBTQIA play in helping develop Jacksonville into a large diverse and accepting place to live, play, and work.
John Phillips was a finalist for “Best Lawyer” in 2015 and 2016 and won in 2017.
